A Health Teacher Motivates His Pupils To Learn About Symptoms Of Alcoholism, Alcoholic Symptoms, And Signs Of Alcoholism

Mr. Johnson was one of the health instructors at a small rural community college in the Eastern part of the United States. For "Alcohol Understanding Month" he made up his mind that he would feature the following three topics for a class assignment: the symptoms of alcoholism, alcoholic symptoms, and the signs of alcoholism.

After Mr. Johnson finalized the topics that would be given to his pupils, he determined that he would provide them with their assignment the following Thursday morning. When "assignment day" finally came, Mr. Johnson met with the members of his class, handed out some relevant facts and statistics, and then informed the pupils in his class about the topics he ultimately selected.

He then gave the students in his classroom a summary of some important signs of alcoholism and stressed how vital it is to learn how to link these symbols, statistics, and facts with the day-to-day circumstances of alcohol addicted individuals. He then gave his students a concise articulation about the significance of learning more about alcoholics and how they live on a day-to-day basis.

Mr. Johnson informed the students in his class that they could give their attention to one of the three topics or discuss all three topics and how they are interconnected. Basically this would be comparable to a general overview but done in a more thorough fashion.

Another selection that he offered to the students in his classroom was the following: select a topic such as alcohol dependency signs and symptoms, dig into things in a more comprehensive manner, and then go over four or five signs and symptoms. Mr. Johnson then discussed the fact that the same principals apply to the other two topics, namely, alcoholic symptoms and the symptoms of alcoholism.

The end result of their inquiry would be a seven thousand word term paper and then a ten minute oral presentation that would be given in front of all the members of the class. As appreciation for their extraordinary academic success, the pupils with the top four overall grades on the term paper and on the oral presentation will be encouraged to present the end product their inquiry at the community alcohol abuse and alcoholism conference during the last four days of April.

As noted by Mr. Johnson, since there are quite a few alcohol addiction signs and symptoms to select, he stated that he was not overly anxious about more than one student selecting the same symptoms and signs for their class project. Without a doubt, even if multiple students were to choose virtually the same symptoms and signs, the illustrations that are linked to each sign or symptom would certainly add enough diversity to sidestep the possibility of two or more pupils presenting exactly the same content.

Mr. Johnson then discussed the fact that while there are more than a few alcoholism symptoms and signs that could be selected, the variety of alcoholism facts and statistics that could be enumerated were practically unlimited. When the topic of alcoholic symptoms was added to the equation, moreover, the pupils comprehended pretty quickly that the three topics would offer a sizable amount of information from which to select.

Why did Mr. Johnson decide upon the signs of alcoholism, alcoholic symptoms, and the symptoms of alcoholism as the topics for this undertaking? Mr. Johnson thought that by increasing the understanding of his students about the negative effects of alcohol addiction and the disappointing existence suffered by alcohol dependent people, his pupils might think more intelligently before they got caught up in careless drinking behavior.
