A Young Male Gets A "Drunk Driving" Arrest And Makes Up His Mind To Hire A "Drunk Driving" Lawyer

Although Franklin wasn't a lawyer, he told his son that he learned the hard way when as a young man he received a DUI, represented himself in the local court, paid two thousand dollars in fines and penalties, and served 60 days in the county jail. As he mentioned to his son, after he got out of jail, he found out from an attorney friend that if he would have hired a DUI lawyer to represent him in court, he more likely than not would have had his fines and penalties substantially reduced and he might have never served any time in the city jail.

When Lawrence heard this he knew he needed more facts about DUIs and so he asked his dad for more information about what a DWI attorney can do in a "drunk driving" arrest. His dad then articulated the following: "If you have been charged with DUI you need a lawyer who will aggressively represent your legal rights through the complexities involved in a DUI case. DUI attorneys will be able to assist you every step of the way through the criminal process and help you find the answers you need."

When Lawrence heard his father explain this, it was as if his eyes were opened for the first time about the critical nature of hiring a "driving under the influence" lawyer. Near the end of their conversation, Lawrence said that he was starting to grasp the relevance of DUI laws and what "drunk driving" attorneys" can do for a person who has received a DUI arrest.

After getting "schooled" about "drunk driving" arrests, the role of DWI lawyers, and understanding that he didn't have to agree to take any field sobriety tests at the time of his arrest, Lawrence decided that he would without a doubt hire a DUI lawyer to represent him in court. Something else, however, took place after he had talked to his dad. Lawrence at last started to comprehend the critical nature of "driving under the influence" arrests and, as a result, he arrived at a decision that from this point forward, he would always drink in moderation so that he would never again have to go through another "drunk driving" arrest.

His dad smiled at Lawrence and mentioned the following: "son, it took me until I was thirty-five years old to realize what you just told me. I am very proud of you." This did wonders for his self esteem and so Lawrence thanked his dad and then said, "if I can always drink in moderation, I will never need to hire a driving under the influence attorney again!"

Regrettably, there was one issue that neither Lawrence nor his father considered, namely, if Lawrence is displaying any alcohol abuse signs or maybe if he is exhibiting any of the typical signs of alcoholism. In fact, if Lawrence is displaying any alcohol signs that point to alcohol dependency or alcohol abuse, more likely than not he will need alcohol treatment.

If truth be told, Lawrence may be required by the court to get treatment for his hazardous and abusive drinking. The good news, however, is that whatever it takes to address his careless and abusive drinking, it appears that Lawrence will be highly motivated to do the "right" thing.
