A Young Man's Excessive And Irresponsible Drinking Results In A DWI And Time Locked Up In Jail
Richard had a particularly hard time maintaining a job. Indeed, because of his slothfulness and lack of motivation, he was out of work far more often than he was employed with a job. And when he did secure a job, he had a particularly difficult time getting to work when his shift started, he characteristically got less than passing performance appraisals, and he called off sick so consistently that he commonly got fired a few weeks after he started working.

During his time in jail, Richard was expected to learn more about alcohol abuse facts such as alcohol related consequence and alcohol deaths, about the injurious consequences of abusive drinking, and he was required to get alcohol treatment. The magistrate accentuated the fact that unless Richard gets professional alcohol rehab and learns how to live a life of sobriety, he will more likely than not be spending quite a bit of his time imprisoned.
Richard stated that he understood what the magistrate was asserting but he still stated that jail was not the most productive decision. The magistrate saw things from an entirely different orientation and stated that it was his job to keep people off the streets who drink and drive and who get multiple DWIs. To validate this assertion, the judge articulated some revered, thoroughly evaluated alcoholism and alcohol abuse statistics that underscored some of the demoralizing effects that are linked to hazardous and excessive drinking such as alcohol related deaths.
Even though Richard comprehended that he drank in an excessive and irresponsible manner, he never believed that he was a person who was addicted to alcohol. So it was a big surprise when Richard started to experience chronic alcoholism signs and symptoms and alcohol withdrawal symptoms just about three-and-a-half hours after getting locked up in the municipal jail.

As the magistrate reflected on Richard's circumstance, he couldn't help but think about how some individuals never "connect the dots" and discover how to live in and adult and effective manner.
