Catholic Wedding - What Are Some Traditions For Weddings In The Catholicism-Based Tradition?
I am not catholicism-based, but I know many individuals who follow the traditions of this faith quite carefully. I admire their dedication, & I think they're wonderful people because of it. There are a lot of things in life that are magnificent in theory, but are not so fantastic in practice. Though a catholicism-based wedding day seems to cover what the religion means to those who attend, I have to say it is lacking a little bit. Though who follow this creed are used to the duration of the ceremony & the christian wedding songs, but for some-one like me, this is something of a shock. One of my closest friends asked me to be in her catholicism-based wedding day, & I had no idea what I was getting into when I agreed. I enjoyed the christian wedding songs, but it was long!
The wedding-ceremony itself is not bad, it's the length of it. It seemed to me that everyone was traveling in stop motion, & that didn't help. A catholicism-based wedding is a long affair, but that might not be the case if everybody would just move a little faster. You can get things done with-out appearing rushed if you put your brain to it, but it seemed that everyone who was concerned in her catholic wedding day wanted to take their time, including the individuals who sang the christian wedding songs.
The length of the ceremony was a little bit much for me, & the key factor was my choice of shoe. I had to have something with a heel, but Little did I know that I would have to stand up in them for an hour. By the time we were half-way done with the catholic wedding wedding-ceremony, I thought my toes were going to break off. They hurt like mad, & my dress was not lengthy enough for me to slide them off for a little comfort. I noticed many of the other girls in the wedding were shifting around awkwardly, & when there were minutes when we could sit, you could hear an audible sigh of release from most of the wedding party.
Over all, though, the catholicism-based wedding day was beautiful, and I am glad that my friend & her new husband had the wedding day they wanted, and that every-thing went smoothly. My biggest problem was that I did not know what to expect, and that should have been some-thing that I asked as the arrangements were being made. She was very aware that we may be awkward, but she was so exhausted that she mentioned this to us much too late. That's ok though, I would do any-thing for her. I will think twice if someone else asks me to be a part of a catholic wedding day again though.
