On the other hand, if you play basketball, you need bigger sturdier cardiovascular shoe to adequately safeguard your ankle. These are called high tops, and they come up all the way to the top of the ankle. They're great for this sport, because you're repetitively jumping high, bursting into sudden sprints in various directions, and doing many other things that can easily injure your ankle.
