SEGA Is Back With Exciting Games Such As Mahjong Online
During 80s and 90s SEGA was a great company with the release of countless consoles and fantastic games such as the Mega Drive and Game Gear. Since then, it has suffered immensely under the pressure of Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. Now it no more enjoys a position in the console gaming business, and instead makes games for the competition's systems. Now, it is trying to expand into a new venture, the online casual gaming arena. There is already a beta version of the system out called Play Sega. This new casual gaming website has all sorts of different game types for example mahjong games, Sport Games, Puzzle Games, Action Games.
Most games such as mahjong connect, Soccer Maniacs and other common games will be available at no cost, however their classic Sega titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin and others will only be available to VIP users. The problem with this is that to be a VIP member and play these games you need to pay. This could end up being an issue as you can get these games for a similar price online on XBOX Live and other systems where you can actually play with a gaming controller and on a Television as it was intended instead of playing on a PC screen with your keyboard but only time will tell.
The upside of this, is that you and your friends can join and compete with each other for rings. Rings will be what you want to reach highscores. For example if you are playing mahjong online and you defeat your friends you will get more rings. These rings will then appear in the standings and the user with the most rings is the winner. This should offer a sort of social networking appeal that will hopefully be part of the method that will earn the system a good result.
The vast array of titles should also be a big force to bring in older players into the site. Games which are now really tricky to get a hold off will be readily available. Only time will tell how rewarding the new portal will be, but we will be keeping an eye on it.
